Crime increase in Humber Valley Village

An important message for ALL Humber Valley Village Residents

Many of you are likely aware of the drastic increase in crime in Humber Valley Village, including recent armed home invasions.

The 2023 major crime statistics from Toronto Police Service for Humber Valley Village notes:

249 Major Crimes, an increase of 54.7% over 2022;
53 Assaults, an increase of 71% over 2022;
115 Auto Thefts, an increase of 51.3% over 2022;
63 Break & Enters, an increase of 110% over 2022

In the first 14 days of 2024, our small neighbourhood had already experienced 7 Break & Enters and 4 Auto Thefts.

The HVVRA invites you to a residents meeting to discuss these crimes and how we can keep ourselves, and our homes, safer. Attending will be Superintendent Ron Tavener, police officers from 22 Division, and Ward 2 Counsellor Stephen Holyday.
